Since the floods in 2007 the main trading areas have been refurbished and the main restaurant area is situated in the Tudor Lounge.

The Tudor Lounge has a warm relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating. The lounge can comfortably seat up to 34 people and can accommodate parties of up to 16 on one table.

The Cottage is a smaller dining area seating up to two tables of four, or one table of up to twelve.

For less formal dining meals can be eaten in the bar area in front of the log fire or in the Cavalier bar which has polished wooden floorboards and a traditional pub atmosphere, complete with dartboard!
       
 

Food at the Moat House is traditional fare and prepared on the premises. We have always prided ourselves upon tasty well-presented food of good quality. The only difference is that we have made every effort to make our food as inexpensive as possible. We have not sacrificed quality or quantity, but feel that we have an obligation to produce an eating out experience that is affordable.

Our new slogan is now, “Same quality, same quantity, better value!”

 
Our lunchtime menu is becoming increasingly popular and we would urge you to book in advance, especially on Sundays, or on special occasions such as Mother’s Day. We are gaining a reputation for our homemade pies and soups, gourmet sausages and mash, faggots and onion gravy and succulent roasts. There are examples of our menus on this web site, but we have an ever-changing specials board.

We have increased the range of vegetarian food that we now offer. We have a complete vegetarian menu available every lunchtime and a choice of at least six vegetarian main courses every evening.
